Since 2022, we have woven community care into every booking. Whether you are here for a romantic weekend, a family reunion, or a solo mountain retreat, 10% of what you spend goes directly back to Bhedetar families. Not as a one-time donation, but as a sustainable cycle of support that grows stronger with every guest.

Healthcare

Healthcare drives

Every month, we organise free health check-up camps for elderly villagers in the nearby wards of Bhedetar. Many of our neighbours have never had consistent access to basic medical care. Our camps provide blood pressure monitoring, diabetes screening, general consultations and free winter medicine kits to help elderly residents stay healthy through the cold Himalayan months.

During the harsh winter season, we distribute woollen blankets, thermal wear and essential medicines to families who cannot afford them. In 2025 alone, our winter healthcare drive reached over 80 households across three wards.

Education

Education support

Education is the single most powerful tool to break the cycle of poverty. Our education support program provides school supplies, uniforms and tuition assistance to children from low-income families across Bhedetar and surrounding villages.

We work closely with local school teachers to identify children who are at risk of dropping out due to financial pressure. Each year, we sponsor the full academic kit — notebooks, pens, geometry sets, school bags and two sets of uniforms — for over 40 children. For students in higher secondary, we also cover tuition fees and exam registration costs.

Nutrition

Warm meals program

Festivals in Nepal are meant to be joyful — but for families living on the edge, they can also be stressful. Our Warm Meals Program ensures that no family in Bhedetar goes hungry during Dashain, Tihar, Maghe Sankranti or the coldest weeks of winter.

We organise community feasts where families gather to share a warm, nutritious meal together. Beyond the food itself, these gatherings restore dignity, strengthen neighbourly bonds and remind everyone that they belong to a community that cares. During winter, we also deliver dry ration kits — rice, lentils, cooking oil and salt — to families who cannot travel to the market due to snow or illness.

Every reservation at TEC Resort & Bar — whether a couple room, glamping tent or daycation — automatically contributes 10% to our community fund.

We allocate locally

At the end of each month, we tally contributions and allocate them directly to our three programs based on current community needs and season.

Schools receive supplies. Elderly villagers get medicine. Families share warm meals. You receive a thank-you note telling you exactly how you helped.

How much of my booking goes to the community?

Can I choose which program my contribution supports?

At this time, contributions are pooled and allocated based on the most urgent seasonal needs. However, if you have a strong preference, mention it when booking and we will do our best to honour it.

Can I donate or volunteer directly?

Do I receive proof of where my 10% went?

Yes. Within 30 days of your stay, we send a digital impact card via WhatsApp or email showing which program benefited and how many people were reached.
