Dharan is wonderful — but it's a city. By the time Saturday rolls around, most locals are looking for cooler air, fewer horns and a proper view. Bhedetar is the answer: 20 km up the Dhankuta road, 1,400 m above sea level, and a full 8–12°C cooler than Dharan year-round.

The drive itself takes 45 minutes through pine-covered switchbacks with viewpoints over the Terai. By Saturday afternoon you can be checked in at TEC Resort & Bar with a coffee in hand, watching the sun drop behind the hills.

Saturday: Leave Dharan around 2 PM. Reach TEC Resort & Bar by 3:30. Walk to the Skywalk for sunset. Back at the resort by 6:30 for bonfire, BBQ and (if it's a couples trip) candlelight dinner.

Sunday: Wake at 5:30 for sunrise on the terrace. Slow breakfast at 9. Optional walk to Namaste Falls or short hike. Check out by 11. Lazy lunch on the way back to Dharan; home by evening.
